Yamaha makes some of the best musical instruments in the world, which is why so many educational and performance institutions want them. They are looking to acquire fleets of instruments for their students, program participants and performers. But those large scale purchases have to be funded, and these institutions already spend a lot of time and energy on their development efforts to keep up with their day-to-day operations and other capital investments. Additionally, they were losing many of their traditional donors through natural attrition.
